About

Hi and welcome to Edible Euphoria!

I created this blog to share my love of cooking and to introduce you to the foods I enjoy, along with providing some background information on recipes.  Every recipe I post has been tested in my home kitchen.  You will discover reviews of the local fare from food trucks to farms as well as recipe reviews of homemade beauty products and pet treats.  I will be posting useful kitchen tips from food safety to properly handling/caring for your knives.

The photographs shown with each recipe are taken by either me or my husband.  Please be patient as I am still learning proper lighting techniques and am striving to learn food styling.  You would be surprised at how uncooperative the food is at times.  All pictures are taken with a Canon Powershot SD600 6MP Digital Elph camera.

I believe anyone can learn to cook; one just needs a desire and a patient teacher.  I am fortunate to have had many throughout my life.  And having a willing sampler to taste every recipe is crucial to any undertaking.  I am fortunate that my husband willingly allowed me to help him navigate his way thru a kitchen.  He has been my taste tester, dish washer, pot stirrer, and photographer whenever needed.

From an early age my grandmother taught me to love fresh, handmade foods.  Every family gathering was around the delicious food produced lovingly by my grandmother and mother’s hands.  Summers were spent taking road trips to visit various relatives throughout the outlying areas – Bangor, Roseto, Allentown, Scranton, Williamstown and Sea Isle City.  Each visit included a wonderful feast of family recipes.  As a young teen I gained full entry into the family kitchen, experimenting with family recipes by tweaking and adjusting ingredients.  I also baked from boxed mixes, until I discovered my mother’s handwritten recipes, and regularly worked with her, producing wonderful meals and desserts.  Upon leaving home, an entire culinary world opened before me and I was introduced delicious flavors from other cultures.  I purchased so many cookbooks that they ended up having their own bookcase.  In 1988 I began a baking business from home, offering cakes, pies, and pastries.  In 2000 I followed a dream and become an EMT and Paramedic within the same year.  During this time I continued cooking and baking for my family and friends.  After many years dreaming about culinary school, I attended Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando, FL in 2005.
